Description
The book is an account of the voyage the author, a WWII flying ace (Robert Lawrence “Peter” Spurdle), undertook after returning home from the war. He built what was, at the time, the largest steel-hulled motorised catamaran in New Zealand in his own backyard. He then gathered a crew and set off on a remarkable journey across the Pacific Ocean to Japan and back.
