This book includes a new chapter on safety arrangements in merchant ships derived from the 1960 International Conference on Safety of Life at Sea, and a comprehensive guide to shiphandling under all circumstances, embodying the standard Admiralty instructions to Captains on the subject which have not previously been available to the public.
